UWB (U ̅ ltra-W ̅ ideB ̅ and) is a communications system that utilizes a bandwidth greater than 20% of the center frequency or at least 500MHz. It also uses extremely wide bandwidths ranging from hundreds of megahertz to several gigahertz. As shown in Fig.1, the output is less than the electromagnetic noise level of PCs; as such, conventionally used frequencies can be shared. The UWB provides the following features:
